Particle boards can be divided in several ways. The particleboard structure is divided into single-layer structure chipboard, three-layer structure particleboard, gradual structure particleboard, oriented strand board, waffle particleboard, and molded particle board. For example, the famous Ou Song board is actually an oriented strand board. According to the raw materials used: solid wood particle board, bagasse particle board, etc. Among them, solid wood particle board as a new type of high-grade and environmentally friendly base material is widely used in the domestic high-end whole-house customization market. Due to its sheet properties, it is not recommended as a cabinet.
The advantages of particle board are high stability (degradation is relatively complete), easy assembly line processing, high adhesion (strong edge-sealing adsorption capacity), and general load-bearing capacity; the disadvantages are poor moisture resistance and poor nail holding power (now commonly used three-in-one One connection, greatly improving nail grip.
There are many big-name manufacturers of particle boards at home and abroad, such as foreign ones such as Agia board, Finsa board, Kronospan, etc.; domestic ones such as Wanhua's Hexiang board, Lushuihe particle board, Daya solid wood particle board, etc.
2. Multilayer board:
Also called plywood, it is made by hot pressing three or more layers of veneer or veneer. Simply understand, similar to a thousand-layer cake, the glue is the cream between each layer of cake. The solid wood multi-layer board has the advantages of small deformation, high strength, good load-bearing, good internal quality (small holes and no delamination after cutting and sawing), good flatness, and much better moisture resistance than particle board and MDF.
The environmental protection level of the big brands can reach E0 and E1. Multi-layer boards are more expensive than particle boards. The woodworking site makes the cabinet, and generally likes to use multi-layer boards; the big-name whole-house customization is the particle board (suitable for large-scale assembly line processing), but ask them if they have multi-layer boards, and they do! You may have to pay extra!
Combined with the characteristics of multi-layer boards, it is very suitable to make cabinets, especially the cabinets of cabinets. Multi-layer boards are more suitable than particle boards! However, it is also because of the characteristics of multi-layer boards that the wood degradation is incomplete and the board is stable. Relatively inferior to particle board, it is not suitable for cabinet doors and is easy to deform. It is often said that if the cabinet door exceeds 1.5 meters, do not use multi-layer boards. In fact, if it exceeds 1 meter, it is not suitable. Even if a straightener is added, it will not be able to be pulled for a long time, and the deformation will still be deformed!
